American Legion Post 325

There was a good turnout of people willing to help set up our new Post on Saturday, November 22.  The trailer was unloaded and I know of no injuries.  That pool table was a lot heavier than we thought.  It took a lot of manpower to get it inside.  The slate was heavy but posed no problem for the brave men and women of Post 325.  Everything was brought into the Post.  Now it all has to be sorted out and put where it belongs,  The big screen TV was hooked up and it worked just fine.  The only causalities I know of was two bottles of Root Beer Schnapps dropped inside the trailer and broken.

Beer and pizza was furnished to those who helped unload the trailer and a few "war stories" were talked about.  Very enjoyable and productive morning.  Many thanks to those who showed up and helped.  Cooperation like this will bring our Post back from the depths of despair to prosperity.  Thanks to all.  DECEMBER 20, 2008

We have a new home.  It is located at 3420 U.S. Hwy. 301 in Ellenton.  Phone Number 941-981-3819.  For those who don't know where 3420 US Hwy 301 is located , it is located at the Ellenton/Gillette road intersection with Hwy 301.  It is in the strip mall where the Sweetbay super market is and our location is next door to the Dollar tree store.  Easy access and plenty of parking. 

 I wish to thank Post 309 for the use of their facilities and all the help and support they have given us during our transistion period.  It is greatly appreciated.

If you haven't already renewed your membership for 2009, please do so now, and if you know of ANYONE who meets the requirements of Legion membership, have a talk with them and encourage them to join our Post 325.  Same thing with Legion members who live in the Ellenton area but belong to another Post.  See if you can get them to switch to a Post closer to home.  OURS!
