Hi.  My name is Terry Harrison.  I have been a member of Post 325 since January, 2004.  Our Post Commander, Debbie Roush, has appointed me to manage this web page.  I will need input from you, our members.  I will publish any information pertinent to our Post so, if you know any member who is ill, in the hospital or has recently died, e-mail me at WEBPAGEPOST325@AOL.COM and I will publish the information.  Any comments or suggestions will also be welcomed.  I hope to keep this site up to date.  If you feel I'm not doing it, please let me know.  Thank you.

The meeting was held on December 17, 2008 at our new home in Ellenton.

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Commander Roush.  The reading of the minutes and financial report for October 1 thru December 16, 2008 were read at the  meeting.

There was little or no new or old business to take care other than the opening of the lounge and the expenses incurred and no comittee reports were given.  The bulk of the meeting was talking about our new home.  All licenses and permits are signed, sealed and delivered.  The lounge is now open for business. The phone number for the lounge is 941-981-3819.  The post really is nice looking due to all the work done by Glenn and Tom.  They really did miracles with the building.  Because of their efforts, a motion was made and seconded and passed to grant life membership to Glenn McFarland and Tom Emanuello for all of their hard work and long hours put in doing the majority of the work.  Many thanks.  Good job.  Our Grand Opening will be held on January 24, 2009.  A BIG turnout would be nice.  It will start at noon and will end whenever.  No other activities are scheduled except for that, but with the lounge now open. we will have an income and will start having some sort of activities in the near future.  Application for the Womans Auxiliary will be made and when their charter is granted, thing will start to happen.  It always seems to take the women to keep things moving.  God bless 'em.  The SAL has many members and I hope they will start getting active again.  A Christmas tree was donated and being decorated to make the Post look more festive for the holidays.  Please stop by, look around and have a drink or two.  Please try to attend our monthly meeting, now that we have our new home.  Our next monthly meeting will be on January 21, 2009  at 7:30 PM at the Post 325 location.
